  Regardless of whether you are planning your first website or have had a website for a while, it is important to understand how to get traffic to your site.  In this workshop, we will discuss the difference between organic and sponsored search, how the major search engines determine if and where web pages get indexed under a search term, and how that might influence your plans for your website content.   We’ll also explore search marketing from the perspective of how DOES your target market search for your products and services and explain the factors that determine how much traffic you might get from search engines. Finally, we’ll talk about other web marketing strategies that are often free to implement and can be most effective in reaching your target market.

The workshop includes two live online webinar sessions:

  Session #2: You Have a New Employee - Now What? – March 29th from 9-10 am

  Susan Higgins is a dynamic business professional with an extensive background in human resources, sales, customer service, finance and operations.  Susan worked for Kelly Services Inc., a global workforce management solutions company, for many years most recently holding the position as the Regional Manager for New England. She has also worked as a Human Resource Manager for several local companies in manufacturing and financial services. Susan has a wealth of knowledge in talent acquisition, talent management, compliance and project management. She is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and Human Resource Association of Southern Maine.
  
  Gerard Salvo is currently the Director of Workforce Solutions for Coastal Enterprises Inc.(CEI)  CEI is a private, nonprofit Community Development Corporation and Community Development Financial Institution that provides financing and support for job-creating small businesses, natural resources industries, community facilities, and affordable housing. Since 1977, CEI has been involved in workforce development. Dedicated to the employment issues of people with low incomes and those at risk of poverty, CEI has developed a model to increase economic self-sufficiency of people with low incomes by facilitating access to quality jobs and career pathways.  Gerard has over 30 years experience as a Human Resource He is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management as a Senior Professional (SPHR).
